February 28, 2025: The Journey Continues

Another week, another adventure with Queen Bee—and let’s just say, she’s keeping life interesting! 😅🐎

Herd Drama Continues
Bee is still not feeling friendly with the herd and has been spending most of her time in her stall and paddock. She’s making her feelings very clear with plenty of whinnies and kicks when the others get too close. 👀🐴

Rodeo Moment (Almost!)
Let’s just say Bee had a little too much energy on the ranch this week! She spooked and took off, nearly launching me to the ground—but I cowgirled up and held on tight! 🤠💪

Special Visitor
We had a visit from Dr. Payton Wise, DVM (my youngest daughter, and a dog & cat vet!) 🐶🐱👩‍⚕️ While Bee wasn’t the patient this time, she definitely enjoyed the extra attention from our special guest!

Time to Shine
Bee had her admirers while being brushed and saddled, and she was tacked up and ready to take on barrels this week! 🏇💨

Big Lesson, Big Win!
She took a trip across the street to Rock Solid Performance Horses for a lesson and shocked us all—she went through water like it was no big deal! 🌊🐎 (Yes, this is the same mare who acts like puddles are portals to another dimension. 🤦‍♀️) She also rode a few patterns and showed her potential!

Nutrition Check-In
Since Bee can’t graze with the herd yet, we noticed she was losing some weight—so we’re upping her hay and grain until she can join the others. Gotta keep our girl strong and healthy!

Calming Solutions Incoming
After a call with her veterinarian, we’ve decided to start a calming plan in the next few days to help her transition more smoothly. Fingers crossed this helps her settle in! 🤞🐝
