This week brought warm weather—and warmer friendships. One big highlight? Letting Bee out of her paddock and watching her make a straight-up bee-line for her new bestie, Skye, who has been hanging out with Bee. No hesitation, no drama—just sweet horse energy and a full-on sprint to her BFF. (Yes, we caught it on video, and yes, it's adorable. )
Barn Science Buzz: The “Rule of 130”
With the summer heat creeping in, we’re keeping a close eye on something horse owners swear by: the “Rule of 130.” Here’s the scoop:
Add the day's temperature + humidity. If the total is over 130, it's time to rethink riding or turnouts. Why? Horses can’t cool themselves efficiently once those numbers rise—risking heat stress. So we’ve upped our comfort game with new fans lining Bee Boulevard, keeping the barn breezy and Bee cool and content.
Mask Up, Queen Bee
Fly season is officially in full swing, and Bee’s back in her (slightly ridiculous) fly mask. Let’s just say it’s not exactly fashion-forward—but it gets the job done. She’s tolerating it... with mild disdain and frequent side-eye.
Between cool fans, silly masks, and sweet new friendships, it’s shaping up to be a pretty Bee-autiful season. Thanks for following along and loving her like we do.
